Go full circle with RNase R

Ribonuclease R (RNase R) is a processive 3´ to 5´ exoribonuclease. It digests linear RNA with an accessible 3´ end and can be used to enrich circular and lariat RNA.

RNase R can be used to digest linear RNAs. Circular RNAs are resistant to RNase R digestion. Lariat RNAs have a looped structure with a single-stranded RNA region at the 3´ end. RNase R can digest the linear RNA at the 3´ end, but stops at the branch point of the lariat, preserving the looped RNA.

We are happy to share the success of our recent NEBNext Distributor Training Session,
a 2-day event bringing together NEB distribution partners from 21 countries from Europe, Africa, and the CIS region.

The training combined theoretical knowledge and hands-on lab experience with our NEBNext products for NGS library preparation. A highlight of the event was the Wet Lab training at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg on the NEBNext UltraExpress FS DNA Kit. Participants, including those who hadn't been in a lab for years, successfully produced high-yield, high-quality libraries in under 2 hours!
This remarkable achievement underscores the ease and efficiency of our protocols.
